Blog Topic: Making a Lasting Impression

“If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you, too.” Romans 14:18 (NLT)

On Tuesday, January 14, Jeremy Pruitt was named defensive coordinator at the University of Georgia by Mark Richt, leaving the same position at Florida State where he helped FSU win the 2014 national title.

Coach Pruitt met Coach Richt in 2003 when Coach Richt was in his third year at UGA, and Pruitt was a 29-year-old high school coach. Richt was unaware of the positive and lasting impression that his visit with Pruitt created and the impact that he made at the time.

From usatoday.com…”It was the first time I ever met him and when I walked out of that room 30 minutes later I was wowed,” Jeremy Pruitt said. “My father looked at me and said ‘That’s what college football is all about.’ I said right then and there if I ever had an opportunity to work for him, I wanted to be a part of his staff.”

You never know how your positive interaction with someone will have an impact on a person. You may not find out until years later. You may receive an amazing blessing as Coach Richt did with his new hire. You may never know it, or you may even find out when you meet that person face-to-face in heaven.

Here is your chance to share about a person who made a positive lasting impression on you. Post the name, describe the experience, and share the attributes of the person that were most powerful.
